A Strong Financial Future Built on a Solid Foundation
When you choose Life’s WORC Trust Services for a loved one with developmental disabilities, autism, a traumatic brain injury, mental health diagnosis or who is aging and medically frail, you can plan for their financial future with confidence.
Each trust is managed by a seasoned team of investment managers at Key Private Bank together with Life’s WORC, a fiscally responsible and financially strong nonprofit with a commitment to supporting and advocating for individuals with disabilities together that’s 40 years strong.
Life’s WORC is a private, 501(c) (3) organization that offers comprehensive services and support to over 1,500 people with developmental disabilities and autism and families in Queens, Nassau and Suffolk counties. The latest Life’s WORC initiative is the Family Center for Autism, located in Garden City, NY. The center offers a holistic, family-centric support model to Long Island and Queens families, and also services the community as a whole.
While Life’s WORC is recognized as a leader in providing innovative, high-quality services that enable individuals with developmental disabilities to live enviable lives, it remains a values-based organization that is deeply rooted in our humble beginnings.
Vicki Schneps, the mother of a former Willowbrook State institution resident, founded the agency in 1971. Together with Geraldo Rivera, the reporter who first uncovered the state institution’s deplorable conditions, she established an organization dedicated to ensuring that those with developmental disabilities and autism are afforded opportunities to live life to the fullest.
